Josephine Kilde is the founder of Find Shalom Counseling Center, a counseling ministry committed to helping individuals and families pursue greater understanding, emotional well-being, healthier relationships, and meaningful personal growth. A Bible teacher, certified Christian counselor, educator, and speaker, Josephine brings a compassionate and thoughtful approach to counseling that recognizes the unique experiences, values, beliefs, and goals of each person.
Josephine holds a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies from Moody Bible Institute, a Ph.D. in Technology, Media, and Society from the University of Colorado Boulder, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Pastoral Christian Counseling through Colorado Theological Seminary and the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA).
Her ministry, educational, and community involvement spans both the United States and Kenya. She serves as a volunteer director of the Imani Yako Future Leaders Program, teaches at Santa Fe Community College, and teaches a women’s Bible study at her church. In Kenya, she helps coordinate pastors’, women’s, and youth Bible conferences, supporting education, leadership development, and community growth. She also facilitates the Shut Up & Write! Santa Fe Meetup group, providing a welcoming environment where writers can develop consistency, work on their projects, and connect with others in the local writing community.
Her diverse background in counseling, ministry, education, research, and leadership enables her to integrate temperament insights, attentive listening, practical counseling principles, and, when desired by the client, biblical and Christian perspectives. She works with adults, youth, couples, and families to better understand personal and relational patterns, navigate difficult seasons, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of living and relating.
While Find Shalom is grounded in Christian values, clients from all faith backgrounds, as well as those who do not identify with a particular faith tradition, are welcome. Josephine seeks to create a respectful and compassionate counseling environment in which each client’s beliefs, values, culture, and personal convictions are honored. Spiritual or biblical principles may be incorporated into counseling according to the client’s interests, preferences, and counseling goals.
Through counseling, temperament studies, teaching, writing, and community involvement, Josephine’s desire is to help people better understand themselves, find wisdom and hope amid life’s challenges, strengthen meaningful relationships, and move toward greater wholeness, purpose, and peace.
